Newella Med Spa

Looking to feel more like yourself? Look no further than Newella Med Spa, a team of talented medical professionals looking to provide you with a myriad of ways to rest, relax, and grow into your new age with grace. They were referred to Bluberry Creative to help give their own brand a facelift, and to date this is another one of my favorite projects to have worked on in my time with Bluberry Creative.

the essence of rest and relaxation

During Newella’s initial branding meetin with Bluberry, we were told that Newella was meant to be a place where people could go to feel welcome and be at peace. Their clients were often older people with children who were getting older and unsure about how to feel, and they wanted their brand to be the beginning to their path to refreshment and renewal.

I started with a new different concepts; a butterfly for transformation, a yellow daffodil – a symbol of new beginnings, a lotus for spiritual enlightenment, and finally a phoenix for rebirth. Later, I came across some vector art of water flowing inside of a circle, and had a fourth idea to pursue a yin-yang symbol using water in a sphere.
The butterfly and daffodil concepts were early drop-outs, but the phoenix, lotus, and wave concepts survived the initial follow-up meetings with the Newella team. These three concepts had many different iterations and stylistic changes to find a logomark that would be the best fit for Newella, including a few adorable phoenix illustrations that did not make the cut.
Ultimately, it was the yin-yang wave concept that the Newella team decided upon, cementing the path forward for their new brand.

Final Logo Suite, Branding, and Patterns

The final branding package came with the following logo suite, a brand book that was put together by our creative director, Christian Madison, and a series of patterns to be associated with their brand that could be used in multiple ways for printing, merchandise, or whatever else the Newella team might want to use them for.

Ultimately the Newella team was very happy with the final product, and the repeating patterns especially were some of my favorite pieces in the end product.
