Exagono Design Freelance Work
In May 2020, I was let go from the small marketing agency where I worked, as COVID-19 had made it financially impossible for them to keep me on the team. Shortly following this, I reached out to Athena Floudas, a former supervisor of mine, who was now running her own business, Exagono Design. During the time I was unemployed, I occasionally picked up some freelance work from her, typically involving either Wild West Brew Fest illustrations, or social media assets for the DRL Group.

DRL Group Advertisements and Banners
The DRL Group is an investment services company based in Katy, Texas that was founded by its CEO David Loesh, a client of Athena’s. As part of my freelance work with Athena, I would occasionally put together online advertisements and banners for company events or outreach ads that explained the company’s various roles and services.
Wild West Brewfest
Wild West Brewfest is an exclusive beer tasting charity event run by the Rotary Club of Katy. Before Athena founded her own design company, we worked together at ADPOWER, a screenprinting shop that was located on the inner south loop of Houston. ADPOWER produced t-shirt designs and a number of various printed materials and merchandise for the event for a number of years before the shop’s closure in 2019. Athena was later able to retain them as a client through David Loesh. During my unemployment in 2020, I created a handful of illustrations for Athena which could potentially be used for future events.
