A spiritual counselor with a mission to empower others in faith, Dr. Kimberly Alexander is a minister’s wife and owner of Deeper Roots Soulcare. She is deeply committed to helping others in finding spiritual growth and healing through faith, and often speaks at retreats and conferences about her work. In 2022, she came to Bluberry Creative seeking a new logo that would reflect her brand and values perfectly.

A Deeply Rooted Connection
Given that the name of Dr. Kimberly’s business was deeply connected to the imagery of roots, I wanted to take that and improve upon it. I also wanted to avoid the typical plant logo that so many other spiritual advice companies often go for.
What helped shape this even from the sketch stage was a fact about Dr. Kimberly that I stumbled across on her about page: the Samaritan woman at the well was one of her favorite Bible characters. It was deep and personal, and after having met with her in our initial brand discovery meeting, I was sure she would love the thought and effort behind it.
